VIP Wild Florida Kayak Adventure

2.5 HOUR GUIDED TOUR | 3 MILES

Escape back in time to wild Florida, exploring the ever-changing beauty of Rock Springs Run.  Tucked away in the heart of Central Florida, this hidden oasis is a undisturbed natural wonder, full of wildlife and pristine water beneath your paddle.  As you escape on this designated National Wild and Scenic River, you will be quickly swept away to paradise.

The adventure skips the hard paddle up the Emerald Cut by taking a leisurely golf cart ride through King’s Landing, viewing the other areas of the park, arriving to the private launch at the top of the run.  Nestled along the Emerald Cut section of Rock Springs Run, it is known for crystal clear emerald water, and lush tropical surroundings.  The tour begins gently drifting downstream, sitting back in your kayak, enjoying a natural lazy river experience.

As we journey further downstream, you will discover the wild Florida area of Rocks Springs Run, experiencing secret passageways where the Timucuan Indians used to roam. During your float, your guide will show you our favorite spots on the river to stop and swim! Throughout the tour, it’s possible to see wildlife such as alligators, turtles, river otters, white-tailed deer, fish, black bears, and an array of birds, great egrets, herons, and bald eagles.

Please note that during our rainy season in August & September it is common for the water level to rise in the Emerald Cut. This causes the clearer blue waters to become a tannic red until you reach the top of the run. This process takes place over time as water produced by rainfall slowly moves through the surrounding area in Wekiwa State Park and into Rock Springs Run. As the water flows over fallen leaves, the tannin slowly leaches out and turns the water brown tea-colored.
