Frequently Asked Questions

When is the last time I can launch?

  • All vessels must depart no later than 3:00pm and return no later than 5:00pm 

Is there an age restriction? 

  • All children must be over the age of 2 years in order to paddle or stay on King's Landing property

Can I bring my pet to King's Landing?

  • Unfortunately pets are not allowed anywhere on King's Landing property. No exceptions.

Are speakers allowed?

  • We understand that a lot of folks like to enjoy music on the water, but because of the prior irresponsibility of other guests, speakers are not allowed on any vessel launching from King's Landing. Our hope is that this allows for better experience in nature for everyone visiting. Thank you for your understanding.

How do I make a reservation?

  • All of our reservations are done online and cannot be made over the phone. There are two paddle options available, the Day Paddle & the Shuttle Run. 

What is the difference between the Day Paddle and the Shuttle Run?

  • The Day Paddle is as self-guided 4 hour rental. If you are looking to explore upstream in the scenic Emerald Cut, this is the best option for you! Explore the Run as you please, and return back to shore here at King's Landing. 

  • The Shuttle Run is an 8.5 mile downstream trip that ventures deep into Wild and Scenic Rock Springs Run. When you reach the pickup point, we will pick you up and shuttle you back to your car. This trip is for those seeking a little more adventure! It is common to see wildlife such as alligators, turtles, snakes, birds, black bear and more. This trip is for kayakers with experience who are comfortable with the Florida elements. 

There are no more reservations available for the date I wanted. 

  • We will always try our best to accommodate walk-ins, but it is never a guarantee. We will no longer be accepting walk-ins Friday, Saturday or Sunday during the Summer season. All openings available for walk-ins are sold on a first come, first serve basis. Our gates open at 8am. 

Can I bring a cooler? 

  • Coolers are welcome, but we do ask that you bring no glass, no Styrofoam, and no alcohol. All coolers will be checked prior to launching.
