Escape in the heart of Rock Springs Run on this guided day trip, exploring all of the wonder of this designated Wild and Scenic River. This fully downstream paddle expedition explores over 8.5 miles of this incredible run!
Begin your journey with a golf cart ride up to the top of the run where you will enter into the crystal clear Spring water of Rock Springs. As the gentle current takes you deeper into world of nature, you will float through over one mile of the World Famous Emerald Cut. As your journey continues further downstream, you will experience the quiet rhythm of the river and an abundant amount of wildlife seeking opportunities along the way. It's common to see many different wildlife species which include alligators, turtles, river otters, white-tailed deer, fish, black bears, and an array of birds such as great egrets, herons, and bald eagles. Rock Springs Run has been featured in National Geographic on many documentaries, from the Florida Spring Shed, to the study of the Florida Black Bear, as the largest colony of Florida Black Bear located in one area.
The ever-changing run will have you captivated by the beauty and mystery of the natural settings surrounding Rock Springs Run, clearing all your senses and bringing peace within. Once we have reached the Wekiva River, our journey will continue paddling downstream to Wekiva Island, where our shuttle will take us back to King's Landing. If time allows, unwind with daily drink specials at The Tooting Otter craft beer and wine bar, enjoy a bite to eat at Without A Paddle Café or relax on the picturesque boardwalk that overlooks the river.
