DAY PADDLE | Self Guided Paddle
4 Hour Rentals (return shuttle is not included in this rental. If you would like to do the 8.5 mile run down to Wekiva Island please book under the Shuttle Tab)

The Day Paddle is a self guided paddle out, paddle back to our launch at King's Landing.  Once you exit our canal, you will be able to explore one mile either direction discovering the raw beauty of Rock Springs Run. Bring your own vessel or rent one of ours to paddle this unexpected oasis in the heart of Central Florida.

Right Side.

Discover the breathtaking Emerald Cut section of Rock Springs Run. Known for its crystal clear emerald water and jungle-like surroundings, you will be quickly swept away to paradise. Once you exit our canal, you will take a right, paddling upstream against the current until you reach the barricade at Kelly Park. You will then turn around and drift back downstream, enjoying the beautiful natural lazy river of Rock Springs Run.

Please note that during our rainy season in August & September it is common for the water level to rise in the Emerald Cut. This causes the clearer blue waters to become a tannic red until you reach the top of the run. This process takes place over time as water produced by rainfall slowly moves through the surrounding area in Wekiwa State Park and into Rock Springs Run. As the water flows over fallen leaves, the tannin slowly leaches out and turns the water brown tea-colored.

Left Side.

Explore wild Florida and escape in lush tropical hammocks and wildlife around every paddle. Once you exit our canal, you will take a left, paddling downstream with the current until you reach two buoy's that read, Turn Around. You will then turn around and paddle back upstream to our launch area. Along your journey you may see alligators, turtles, fish, deer, black bears and many bird species that call Rock Springs Run home.

On average, it takes most guests 3-3.5 hours to paddle both the Left and the Right side. All rental times are for 4 hours, so there is enough time to explore both sides and stop, swim, and grab a snack if you choose to bring some along with you.
